Furniture Rental - dos and don'ts
If you are staying in a rental property for an indefinite period of time renting furniture may be the best option for you. Read on for some of the dos and don'ts of furniture rental.
Furniture rental is the cheapest way to furnish your home in the short term. Most rental companies offer a range of furniture packages to suit your needs and budget. Many companies also provide the option of rent to buy, allowing you to pay for the furniture less the amount you have already spent on rent.
Dos
- Do wait until you move in to choose the furniture. It is important that you know how much space you have and choose furniture that goes with the interior of your new home.
- Do choose furniture that is a good quality. You may have the option to buy the furniture after a certain period.
- Do treat the furniture as if you own it. If there is damage to the furniture than you may have to pay extra charges when it is being returned.
Don'ts
- Don't choose the cheapest option. Don't just rent the furniture because it is cheap, it may not be a good quality and you may decide that you don't like it.
- Don't damage the furniture. Remember that you will eventually have to return the furniture and it needs to be in good condition.
