Make Money: online selling

Make Money Online

We’ve all dreamt about being able to make money from home and escape the 9 to 5 treadmill. Here we check out selling online.

Buying and Selling Online
One of the easiest ways to make money is to set up an account with a virtual auction company. By far the largest is eBay – since inception in 1995 it has become a multi-billion dollar business, with local operations in over 30 countries.

It’s free to establish yourself with a user ID. Once you’ve created your platform, you can get selling. Everyone has unused items clogging up their attic or spare rooms – clothes you no longer wear, unwanted gifts in wrappers – you can be guaranteed they will be of interest to someone out there. Simply photograph the item, upload it to your selling page, give a snappy description, then suggest a starting price. eBay gives the facility to build in postage/packaging costs. It’s then just a case of watching bids being made – if you’re item sells, post it off.

You can set up online banking too, for free (such as PayPal) so your profits go straight to your bank account. As you become more expert, you can tailor your products, even create your own virtual shop.

Some eBayers make a good bit of money buying cheap items from other sellers, then marking them up to sell them on. You can pick up all sorts of items at secondhand shops – after cleaning and restoration, you’ll be surprised at the bids these can attract.
