Third Party Insurance: find the best deals

Third party insurance

Compulsory third party insurance is the most basic car insurance available to Australian drivers. Here we highlight some top providers.

Allianz
Allianze, with 2 million Australian policy holders, guarantee your quote for third party insurance in 2 minutes. Their rates vary depending on states, including up to $250,000 ‘at fault protection’ at no extra cost (New South Wales); $1,000,000 in Queensland. Online registration takes minutes. Competitive rates are offered if you’re aged 30+.

GIO
GIO offer Driver Cover Plus, which they state is amongst the best injury cover available for a CTP policy. They also offer up to $50 off comprehensive car insurance when you combine it with your third party cover. Payment notification to the Roads and Traffic Authority is made in minutes.

AAMI
AAMI offer third party property damage car insurance, covering any damage caused by your car to someone else’s property (up to $20 million). There are flexible payment options – monthly or annually.

The policy also covers you in case your car is damaged by an uninsured driver (for up to $3,000 damage). For an extra premium you can extend your policy to include loss or damage to your car caused by theft, attempted theft or fire.

If you upgrade to comprehensive cover, AAMI will give you the same rating you would have earned if you had always been comprehensively insured. AAMI also promise to handle every aspect of any claim. They’ll arrange all quotes and repairs, and will help select a repairer.
